Food Help
St. Vincent de Paul of Portland is one of the largest providers of free food to low-income households across Northwest Oregon. We strive to help others extend their household budgets by meeting their needs for basic items.
Drop-In Pantries
St. Vincent de Paul chapters called "conferences" operate more than 40 pantries from the foothills of the Cascades to the northern Oregon Coast. Most conferences require clients to live in the local area. For people without a local pantry, our administrative office operates a drop-in pantry Fridays in southeast Portland: 8101 SE Cornwell St., Portland, OR 97206.
Food Deliveries
Some of our pantries offer food delivery. A few with drop-in pantries will deliver to clients who have a disability that prevents them from traveling to their local pantry. Complete list of St. Vincent de Paul Pantries by county.
Special Programs
We step in to fill the gap when special needs arise. For example, we partnered with Archdiocese of Portland to operate drive-thru pantries for hundreds of people a day during the economic crisis created by COVID-19. We provide seasonal programs in November and December to provide extra food for people during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Opening and closing dates can be found by calling 211, or visiting 211info.org.
