St. Vincent de Paul's new thrift store has made the ranks of Portland thrift stores that have the best bargains. The Oregonian's online counterpart, OregonLive.com, profiled 12 area thrift stores with really low prices.

OregonLive wrote that each thrift store on the list is "reporter-tested and reporter-approved."
Here's an excerpt of what OregonLive.com wrote about SVdP's Portland thrift store:
"Across 20,000 square feet of retail space, the store carries kids and adult clothing, books, furniture, art and housewares... The store hosts regular color tag sales, with items that have been on the floor longest selling for half-price and then $0.99 — even the furniture."
The store offers senior and military discounts of 30% on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Donations are accepted daily during store hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The store is at 17108 SE Powell Blvd., Portland. Visit www.svdppdx.org/thrift-store for more info.
