A parking lot covered with freezing snow, combined with a forecast for more winter weather, has forced St. Vincent de Paul's main office in Portland to extend its weather closure into Friday, Feb. 14.
SVdP clients with existing appointments will be served remotely. Hotlines for food and for rent/utility aid will be closed. The closure also may affect some local pantries with Friday and weekend hours.
In addition to Friday's weather closure, the main office will be closed Monday for the Presidents' Day holiday. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, Feb. 18.
